Seminole Valley No. 2 Drain is a drainage system that serves Hidalgo County Precinct 4. The project created a new drain to provide a defined outfall to an existing drainage ditch located approximately 1/4 mile north of Owassa Road and approximately 1/2 mile east of Raul Longoria Road (FM 1426). The drain was extended east from its current terminus point and discharges into the FM 495 Drain. These improvements provide and outfall to several rural developments and land bounded by Raul Longoria Road to the west, approximately 1/4 south of Owassa Road to the south, FM 495 Drain to the east and Alberta Road to the north. HCDD1 Engineering prepared plans to create a benched drain that will facilitate maintenance and at the same time create more volume in the system. HCDD1 performed all the improvements to the ditch through in-house forces.
